A summary of the history of Makanye Kenneth Matabane, one of two of the company's directors at Van Wyk Matabane Attorneys.

Kenneth is an admitted attorney with compliance, legal and commercial board level experience. He is an executive with strong multinational operational and compliance background and both extensive and diverse experience across a range of industries of various sizes. Kenneth worked for the Centre for Applied Legal Studies at Wits as a Researcher. He worked for Maphanga Attorney after breaking away from Blakes Maphanga Attorneys as a Candidate attorney. He was then headhunted to join ICAS Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd to establish a division called Life Management Services. Kenneth received intensive training at the United Kingdom (UK) branch of ICAS.

Kenneth was then invited to the board of ICAS. He has been a Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs for over 10 years and has been directly responsible for Human Resources, Employee Relations, Risk Management, Information Security, transformation (BEE) and Legal services. Kenneth has served as a Chairman of Usizo Investments Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a minority shareholder within ICAS Southern Africa and Sangano Investment Holdings as an Executive Director.

Kenneth has led a multitude of transactions (Mergers and acquisitions and restructuring) within ICAS.

Kenneth has a B Proc (University of the North), BA Hons Human Resources Management (University of Johannesburg), Personal Financial Management (University of South Africa) and Advanced Diploma in Labour Law (RAU). Kenneth is a Fellow member of the Institute of Directors, member of the Risk Management Institute, Black Management Forum, Ethics Institute of South Africa, EAPA International, IPM (Institute of Personnel Management) and a founding member of HRCOSA.
